Ace Hotel NYC
Swank, sexy, dark, hipster haven. The Ace feels like home. Turntable and LPs in the room. Massive French doors open on to the bath and nice work and lounge space. Plus blackout curtains make for a perfect sprite cave. JOY

Rat Pack Xmas Tour - NYC
It's so swank it makes my teeth numb. Empire State in the bedroom, Chrysler Bldg in the living room, and the statue of liberty in the dining room. Elvis on the stereo.

It's a tomato! I'm always surprised how eating fresh food from the garden makes me so happy.

Sol Giveth, the good and the ironic
Today there is one more solar household in the C-squared, and WE’RE IT!
The system is ready to start powering the house and pumping power back into the grid as soon as the city inspector and Cali-Edison give us the thumbs-up. The panels are shiny blue-black tech and we’ve found a way (which means V found a way) to purchase the power for 20-years at about 14-cents a kwh year-in-and-year-out without change.
We don’t own the panels but they come with full maintenance, real-time monitoring, and the deal transfers if we sell, “hi new home buyer, would you like a house with free-energy?”
And at the end of each year if we put more in than we take out, WE get a check.
Sa-weeeet!
It’s ironic that on the same day we had a check-up with the dermatologist and she zapped some precancerous sun-spots. Did I mention we have SOLAR?!!!

LUCENT DOSSIER vs. HERAKUT
A stunning stage performance by Lucent Dossier and the street art duo known as Herakut. As the Lucent MC said, "It was wonderful of the owners of the Palace Theater to allow a bunch of freaks like us to come in and tear the place up."
|
Herakut was the team that put up the beautiful street art on the abandoned building under the new train station for Culver City. I took some photos of that during the Culver Art Walk here. |
